Great stuff. I found the AK tech-talk especially informative. God bless.

Nice of you to cover the AK. Good assessment of the early WASR’s (assembled from imported parts with appropriate number of US pieces added to make Big Mama happy in DC). I happen to have had a really good one BUT it was because of how I got it. Having pretty much the run of the place at a local store, I literally sat down in their basement like a kid on Christmas day and had my guy bring me every -10 they had on the premises. I opened ’em all looking for things (especially) like alignment of tube and front sight block, etc. So was able to “cull” a decent one from several.

Adding a TAPCO trigger & a spring replacement for the shepherd’s crook, as well as having the gas piston “cut” so it could be pinned & flex a bit made it into a first-class Golden Retriever that did anything I wanted in all conditions. Gone now (armed a compatriot neighbor) but good stamped ones can be found & are noticeably lighter. Great companion.

Heck yeah man! The tapco G2 makes a big difference and it’s a must have in older WASRs that had bad trigger slap issues.

Speaking of Coronavirus, consider the implications of this top comment after a new ZeroHedge post:
Please read this carefully. It’s the top comment on the Zerohedge piece linked here below.

“I just read a German report from Bavaria that they got one confirmed case in isolation. That patient, a German, works at an international factory that has suppliers and sub-factories in China. A lady from Shanghai was on a training week at the factory, without any symptoms, but showed them on the 23rd when she returned to Shanghai. The way she got the virus was from her parents, who are from Wuhan and visited her just before she left for Germany.

“What this shows is that there is most certainly direct human – human transmission during the incubation period, and also how the virus can be easily transmitted from Wuhan – Shanghai – Bavaria or anywhere else in the world. I have been to China and there is no way that the authorities would or could admit the size of the outbreak, especially not during the Lunar New Year, which assures that it will spread much more than during the rest of the year.”

      Matt,
I was thinking last night while sitting in a Chinese restaurant (It was my wife’s B-Day dinner request ?‍♂️ ) I am very happy that I am retired and not on an airplane every week. I suspect that the nCoV really lends itself to spreading easier than most air born viruses.

Thanks for doing this podcast series. I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts on the use of COTS drone systems on the upcoming unpleasantness. Some of us have the gear and want to make good use of it.
