10,800 Assault Weapons Parts Seized by CBP in Louisville

Underscoring the influx of Chinese weapons into the US, one of our readers sent in this press release from US Customs & Border Patrol quietly published just under a month ago. Funny it didn’t make the news.

Details are vague on what the parts were or even for what type of weapons, but they did state that it was destined for Melbourne, Florida.

And if the success rate of Chinese weapons smugglers is anywhere close to drug smugglers, there’s no telling what’s going to pop up at an opportune time.

Funny, theyget all wrapped around the axel about this, there numerous companies here in the US who sell the exact same parts, no questions asked.

      Mmmm Tyler Durham,

I am sure they are being made in the USofA but with serial numbers and are guarded as closely as a new M-16 is. A private citizen may not own a DIAS built after 1986 and ones that were produced before that date are going for around $28,000. It would be cheaper to buy a full auto UZI $14,000, Mac-10 $10,000 or if you have to have an AR-15 variant that shoots auto, buy a pre 1986 M-16 for around $20,000.

Ahhhh, the old days I remember them well.

It’s an ITAR violation. Look it up. The Feds take that shit pretty seriously.

It was revealed in an article(I forgot which site) that some of the parts included kits to allow selective fire capability on carbines. Melbourne, Florida is well known hub of all sorts of trafficking: narcotics, weapons and also people. It’s a location well used by smugglers to ship cargo all over the country. This weapon seizure is probably the one we’re likely to hear about in public. Who knows how long and how much material has been smuggled to caches all over CONUS that supplemented firearms from Operation Fast and Furious?

Its exactly how the VC built up weapons caches before the TET holiday attack in SV, Just smuggle all sorts of weapons into areas they want control over and when the balloon goes up you wonder what the hell happened.
