Large Explosion In Beirut

A large explosion has been reported in Lebanon’s Capital city just moments ago. Local hospitals are reporting large numbers of casualties and widespread damage in the port. Specific details are thin at the moment, but it is suspected that the source of the explosion was a cargo ship full of fireworks but no other details are currently known.

The primary fire/explosion looks like fireworks at the base of the cloud of smoke. The red smoke of the secondary and larger explosion looks like an Ammonium Nitrate explosion. IMHO

That was my initial thoughts as well.

A Lebanese General has stated it was a HE storage facility.
