Two episodes in a week, this is better than Christmas!

    • Johnny Paratrooper November 16, 2020 at 13:23

It’s more like Operation Market Garden than Christmas.
Scout is telling us something without telling us.
And that message is “Get Ready”.
      For obvious reasons.

      “The Die Has Been Cast”

Yep! I fuckin love these podcasts! And the craziest thing is, I was a kid when Red Dawn came out in the 80s. But I aint in bad shape because of my lifestyle, and I am still looking forward to the fun coming our way.

      • NC Scout November 16, 2020 at 20:40

Thank you!!!! The kind words mean a lot more than you realize.

Very good information provided here, as usual. An android tablet secured as discussed is the best approach available.

I have been convinced that there is no real privacy on typical cell phone devices and that none of the available communications alternatives are good solutions for the coming festivities. When data is kept on a providers’ server you run the risk of deplatforming and increase the risk of compromise.

I recently ordered a PinePhone64 which runs on linux, has a removeable battery, and has dip switches to disable the cell modem, GPS, wifi, mic, speaker, and camera. The same company produces tablets and laptops. I bought it for experimental purposes because I firmly believe that anything based on IOS or Android is a surveillance device and I want an alternative.

The holy grail is something that can run: on a flash drive or sd card; on any linux phone, tablet, or computer; that encrypts everything at rest and in transit; does not require a central server; is capable of onion routing of messages. It should not try to provide voice and video services because those will necessarily provide a one or zero link between the parties.

Hey those are a good price. My one gripe with old technology is you usually have to replace the battery. Which can be rather expensive.

I’m curious how you could order this without it being correlated to the buyer.
All products capable of transmitting EMF require an individual Numbered ID.

I guess this is more of a debate like camouflage.
An Iphone or Android product is like wearing bright yellow.
And this is like wearing camouflage.

I’m gonna stick to my nonsensical wild dick plan.
I just don’t have the computer savvy to dive into this.
And none of my friends do either.
I couldn’t even get torrent to work right.
And I chirped a radio to death.

      I’m cancer to electronics.

I don’t plan to put a SIM card in it. I’m hoping to cut the cell cord completely.

Robert Ludlum wrote some really good books, and you’re right that folks should read the Bourne books, they are extremely different from the movies, and the books are much better. His other works are good reads as well, and usually dirt cheap at used bookstores.

anyone know anything about the LINE app? is it encrypted? trustworthy? similar to wire and signal?

  5. Recon Prepper November 16, 2020 at 14:29

also im guessing you root or jailbreak your android tablet but you didnt mention what to put on it or take off it or how? could this be a podcast in the future?

  6. Daniel Morgan November 16, 2020 at 18:15

Can you put up a download link or option so we can download the audio file and then listen to it sometime where we don’t have Internet connection? I like to put the podcasts on a thumb drive and then listen on my 30 mile each way work commute. Thanks.

    • NC Scout November 16, 2020 at 18:21

If you right click on the bar, it’ll have an option to download the data. Thanks for listening!!!

      • LP November 17, 2020 at 07:19

Thanks for the podcasts I love listening to them!! I tried to download them but it doesn’t show a download option when i right click on them.

        • NC Scout November 17, 2020 at 07:29

          What browser are you using?

          • LP November 17, 2020 at 09:37

Foxfire on a Linux mint OS. I also have chromium on it and tried to download it from that browser too. I have a computer with windows 7 I will try it on that one with foxfire and explorer

          • LP November 17, 2020 at 18:30

I tried both computers but neither one show a download option. Do you have a specific browser I should try?

          • NC Scout November 17, 2020 at 19:07

            Firefox is the best one.

          • JD November 17, 2020 at 20:35

I run the Brave browser on Linux Mint. Works fine.

          • LP November 18, 2020 at 18:50

Thanks! I’ll give the Brave browser a try

In “The Art of Invisibility” 2017 by Kevin Mitnick explains many of the how to’s for more personal privacy and avoiding patterns.

      Great book.

  10. boss21 November 17, 2020 at 22:40

Best podcast so far IMHO. . Trying to get people to look at this stuff is hard as its seen as tedious. They all want to buy the latest shiny object. $300 for a trigger most can’t take advantage of in real shooting – No problem. $300 for a few HTs – crickets. In the coming festivities many tragedies will ensue from not adhering to what you outlined. Read a lot of those old spy novels as well. Tech changes but the principles are timeless. The Andy McNab books .are unbelievably detailed especially on tradecraft and gritty also,

    • John November 24, 2020 at 13:17

8⌚ Is something wrong with your player? The episode just leaps to the end and won’t reload.

      • Patriotman November 24, 2020 at 16:17

We are in the middle of a hosting migration so that might be it. Check back in a day or so and let me know if it is still down. Thanks!

About 2012 in Afghanistan we had a hell of time with guys that kept a normal 9-5 but would only moonlight for Team Mo. They’d always change they’re SIM or they’re phone, sometimes both. They’d meet up and like Sons of Anarchy (TV show) put all of them in a bucket but when they left just pull a random one out to save money I guess. Every once in awhile they’d all get new selectors but for about a month or two they’d swap SIMs and phknes around. Smart dudes.

I mean, we still shot them in face eventually, but they got away a few times.

    • NC Scout November 19, 2020 at 13:56

That was 2012. And while the SECC guys had some confusion, there wasn’t trouble if the target made themselves a big enough one.

This is 2020, and the automation is not only much better, but the technology the targets use (that’d be you and I and the royal We) is far stronger at mapping your patterns of life.

I have been trying for days to listen to this but for some reason it will not play for me. Running Brave on Android.
    Any ideas?

    • Lost Dog November 24, 2020 at 16:54

Me too Bob. Been trying for days on a Windows 10 machine with Firefox, no luck so far.

      • Bob November 25, 2020 at 07:15

Lost Dog, odd thing is all the other episodes play without a problem.

    • John November 25, 2020 at 13:28

      Same here.

    • Mike November 26, 2020 at 09:06
