In regard to what you’re saying about Walmart cameras, I’d like to add to the conversation by saying that not every camera is monitored live. The walmart near me has about 100 cameras with 12 view screens in their security office. Just food for thought.
Yup.
That can be changed with the click of a button.
You can click “Display All” on the “View” menu.
The problem is that you cannot see anything.
So they primarily focus on Diapers, Electronics, Toys, and Tools.
There are 360 degree fisheye cameras.

They provide excellent situational awareness.
But they lack in many areas. Specifically, point visual detection except for straight down.
They also require your security teams to be intimately familiar with their zones.
It’s kinda like mounting a kaleidoscope to your face.

this YT link is a texas hog hunter who uses an incredible mix of thermal optics both head mounted, weapon and vehicle mounted options in addition to and coupled with Night vision, take a look at his rigs, even thermal drone sets, his budget is out of this world but take a look at the force multipliers and add your on context
you can get even a 400-600 night vision weapon mounted optic (sightmark) https://sightmark.com/ digital units mayhave some lag time or refresh rates unlike NVD but you can make one rifle completely night capable.
just some thoughts and resources

Thanks for taking my question. No doubt in my mind that the land lines can be monitored. Just trying to think of ways to game the mass data collection system. Also the nwa is for NW Appalachia though old 1980s wrestling was the best.
Speaking of which, folks in E OH, W PA, or the N WVA panhandle that want to network and train, I’m trying to get some folks together. nwa_sportsmen_club@protonmail.com
I was reading in my local paper the other day about, Band 14, internet/comms for first responders. They said it was 20 mhz. carved from the 700 mhz. area. But didn’t get specific.
Anyway their starting to cover more of the rural areas. It can be used for all comms.. But in an emergency would drop everything but government. Think it will have sat. uplink on towers? Just wondering. They said it’s one of those public/private enterprises of ATT.
That has to be on towers. Sounds like they’re using the old cell phone allocations.
