Hey Hawkeye,
Excellent review man. Thanks for bringing this great looking ruck to my attention. Look forward to a future review after some miles on it.
I have a pile of older Kifaru backpacks and they are really good but they are starting to feel a little dated feature wise and have been looking for something new.
Recently my nephew has asked my advice on a pack and was having a little trouble pointing him in the correct direction, this just made my job a lot easier. The Aussies make some good kit. Bring back Auscam !!!
I’ll be sure to check out Crossfire’s smaller pack as well.
Love your reviews, always appreciate your honesty and practical eye.
FYI Crossfires website has the DG3 listed for$249-269.
Says $360-$388 when I look at it. https://crossfire.com.au/colections/packs/dg3-72-hour-3-day-tuned-flex-polymer-external-and-internal-frame-patrol-backpacks/
Late 80’s and early 90’s I worked as a backcountry guide in Colorado and New Mexico. The best packs available were made by Dana Designs. The three Dana packs I had then I still use today. They were expensive and worth every penny in every way. The company changed hands a time or two and the founder of Dana has since created the Mystery Ranch backpack company. These packs are the best. Some are berry compliant, as they are supplied to sof. All are very costly and will not disappoint. Check em out.

If I look it up under crossfire.com.au it shows up as $360-$388, but if I look it up under crossfirepacks.com it shows as $249.00-$269.00.
I guess maybe it depends on whether you look it up on the Australian site or their US site.
Apparently you are correct.
The AU site is probably displaying Australian dollars.
Looking at the currency conversion that looks like it’s about right, right now $1 Australian is approximately .77 USD.

Excellent product exsposure. Looks quality and even at my age, I still get enthused about “survive all” products and equipment. Guess that comes from extreme outdoor locations I got to experience and some time being homeless. In any case, my heirs will have what they need. I will check out your products and Crossfire products. Expect Uncle Ben to fund some of this despite it seems, a huge lack of sincere give a crap about us. Again great review. ALB
That’s quite the piece of gear. A couple of sustainment pouches, such as you added, and you’d have damn near all you can reasonably carry without hurting yourself.
