Yes, I think there is one nearby with either 400 or 600 yards available. Will have to join there.

It’s worth it. And the private nature of the club makes for good friends. You will usually meet professionals of the blue and white collar variety. As well as reloaders, machinists, and typically they have other skills like pilot, farmer, or radio. The more local, the better IMHO. I also recommend joining two or three. It’s usually about $100 a year or less. Plus they ask that you come for a day and help with range upkeep. Plus, there are barbecues and events. Usually the local gun shops are involved. It’s a good time. I was a member of a few clubs before I let it expire due to a lack of time, plus I had moved out of the area.
Nice rifle, but super pricey. Would be nice to have place like that to shoot. I have a new precision rifle build in 300 RUM to get sighted in.
There should be a range nearby. Many of the long ranges are private in the U.S.. They require a membership and brief probationary period.
