Japan’s willingness to join a fight against China is huge, even if all they can provide is use of their territories as forward staging areas. Logistics for a fight get a lot easier when you’re operating out of the first island chain instead of the second chain or even further back.

They have an incredible fleet of Fighters and TOP flight trainers to save their jets for the real thing. I wouldn’t pick a fight with Japan. Plus they have a 120 IQ Average on the whole island. The Japanese aren’t gonna let China boss them around.

Their air force certainly isn’t anything to sneeze at, but those F-15Js are starting to show their age, and the F-35 replacements are, well, F-35s… If they put their mind to it they’ll fight, but the question is *when* they will fight. The big question is, if China decides to take Taiwan, will anyone be able to stop them in time? And if taking Taiwan is a fait accompli, is it worth the hassle for Japan to support America in whatever show we put up in the south China sea after the real prize – Taiwan’s advanced chip fabs – has been lost. I hope they decide in favor of us, and the video you posted is favorable, but with the current regime at the helm I worry that Japan will decide to take the diplomatic option.

Nothing says the Japanese can’t add their own updates and mods to the birds. And they didn’t burn up their fleet in twenty years of GWOT and Naval aircraft landings.
That being said, the State Department probably agrees with you because they nearly doubled their F-35 contract. Also, I don’t think the F-35 is nearly as poor as everyone claims. I think that is a lot of Psych-Ops.

We should buy some high end Russian jets // https://youtu.be/DBVafIdbsqk // for 1/10th price of an F-35. Give them to Japan, have them copy, improve, and add stealth to them. And sell them to the U.S. military. Easy 75% cost savings. A proven airframe that actually works. Twice the range, twice the speed, 3x the maneuverability, 4x the load out of the F-35. Japan could miniaturize the electronics package of the F-35 to save weight, and comparedto U.S. suppliers, it would probably work on thefirst try. Give the first 960 to the Marines to get them back in the ball game.

Last time I checked, the lying fake news media runs pieces about the F-35 program being an abject failure.
If that’s true, is the lying fake news media suddenly real?
I know Lockheed Martin and Goddard Space Flight Engineers.
I have also seen Colt Aerospace drawings, designs, and patents.
Pretty sure our rockets, missiles, and jets are solid (or two stage…)
China is about to fuck around and find out…
Plus, China ain’t got know friends.
      Fact.
If China wants to fight a Korean War and a Vietnam War simultaneously. That’s their problem.
Russia already sent their best engineers and aerospace guys to Israel; So they can’t help without facing the music.
Sounds like a “Check” to me.
Also, the only value on Taiwan is their TSMC facilities and their culture and people. TSMC makes Silicon wafers for Microchips. Which China needs to control the 5G revolution. And there are only a couple wafer manufacturers in the world. We can bomb the those facilities into oblivion.
If China wants to lose millions and look like failures to 1.2 billion people, that’s their problem, not mine.

Japan has had the Technical Capability to build Nuclear Weapons for more than 30-40 Years. If they have some in Stock, nobody knows. If they Don’t, I rather doubt it would take them more than a Year to have some built up. In spite of the ‘occupation government’ (US) -imposed ‘constitution’, I know first-hand from some Commercial Aviation Guys from there, that they still have a very large “Nationalist” element in their Armed Forces, and the politicians Dare Not to try and force them Out, (like the bolsheviks are doing here).
While of Course, the Xiden Administration would make every Excuse possible to Not Aid Taiwan in the event of a chinamart Invasion, once Japan engages, the U.S. Occupation Bases in Japan will be Attacked, and then it’s Game on.

It takes at least 7 years to spin up some weapons grade nuclear material.
Also, we would gladly launch the missile for them at cost…
