I have a zippered wallet. I’ve upped my EDC game so that inside the wallet I have some AquaTabs for water purification, a mini Bic lighter, one of those ‘credit card knives’ where the plastic folds down to create a handle for the blade, a P38 can opener, a couple of fishhooks, and an old hotel keycard that I wrapped in a few layers of duct tape. I put a braided paracord lanyard on it. Still enough room for debit cards, cash, and concealed handgun permit etc.
Figure if I have just my wallet, I could bushcraft easy enough and not die for a while.
Even with a bifold or trifold wallet you could do a book of matches and the rest of the kit easy peasy.
