The 50 dB shielding being good enough against what threat? Russia is claiming to have super HEMP weapons capable of greater than 100,000 volts/meter, whereas US EMP hardening standards are 50,000 volts/meter. Is that good enough 50 dB assuming the same 50k as the US standards? In which case it may be inadequate against man-made EMPs.

Has anyone tried the aluminum foil sheet challenge? Balanced slightly over your face before bed, and after a few moments the foil is pelted like a BB gun sheeit storm. What is it? Suggestion per B.Binney and everyone I have told about it sees the same random energetic shots. And I want to know what it really is? Like to dismiss it as being a natural anomaly from space somehow. But very very strange. Thanks for sharing..
Yeah, I have. Vietnamese coffee bags work quite well too.
Wow incredible. Possibly LIDAR or probably all of the above? Yet like to hear a discussion on what y’all know at some point. Few shots so hard out of nowhere were disturbing gave me the shakes. Never seen anything like it in my life. Can imagine how this could be portrayed on ghost hunters. But not calling a priest yet.

While in college, we were taking a course in geophysics. Through one thing and another, we determined that a microwave oven with the cord cut off would serve as a field expedient Faraday cage. The rationale is, if it is designed to prevent HF from leaving, then it should be able to prevent HF from entering as well…. Our professor had a Huxley moment (‘How perfectly stupid to not have thought of that’) as a result.
It seems this is sound. Thoughts?
It stops a certain portion of the electromagnetic spectrum from escaping the microwave quite well, that doesn’t that it stops all portions from escaping.
