How To Make The Best Hardtack
I’ve made hardtack many times over the years to put in the annual stew. Its easy enough to make, as most breads are. Sailor Boy is a decent shelf-stable substitute if you’re not into making it your own, but I strongly encourage you to give it a shot. You’ll enjoy the results.

Thanks for this!
Always good to make up and store some carbos for a “what if” situation.
HEY! If things get better and there’s no supply chain issues or availability, just leave them to your kids or grandkids to gnaw on!
Otherwise, you’re GTG –“Better to have and not need, than need and not have.”
PS
Unless you have great or young “ivories,” melikes to soak ’em first to put in a stew or soup. No sense in me bustin’ me choppers when there’s no dentist or horse tooth floater about!
I used to make it and take it along when hunting. I’d add just a bit of lemon pepper to give it a bit of taste. Good times.
