My Godfather, Unka Joey, was a tanker back in the 1950s. Took training at Ft. Knox.

Throughout my career, I have met many local WWII and Korea vets. So, I like to get their stories whenever I can. I met one particular gentleman once and asked him about his service during WWII.
“Where did you deploy?”
He replied, “Oh, I was in France and then Germany.”
“What did you do?”
“I was the driver in a tank destroyer.”
“Which one? The M10 or the M18?” I asked.
He gave me a slight grin. “The M10!”
