Notice: am not a Russian-lover. My people got slaughtered in the Katyn Forest. But:
Putin is not indiscriminately striking large groups of civilians nor even cutting off their electrical grid. He does not want a scorched earth policy (bad for business and good for guerilla groups and “forevermore” wars.)
btw–why is Russian NG still flowing to the EEC? Putin doesn’t want to freeze people to death, but how is the EEC gonna pay for keeping warm with ‘sanctions’ on Russians banks?
I’ll give it three, maybe four more weeks for the Russian offensive; they will then encircle the UKR organized forces. Then, it’s white flag time or die-on-the-hill you’re on for the Ukies. Western UKR muddles on with a “friendly to Moscow” government; Eastern UKR pro-Russian. To calm down the Poles he’ll offer them back the Lviv area and even Ushhorod area to the Hungarians.
Geo-politics. It’s Zippy the Pinhead in DC vs. a Metternich in Moscow as has been stated.
US and EEC news, maps, reporting fighting=pure rubbish and propaganda.
Latest score: 498 Russian dead with 1,600 wounded vs. 2,879 dead and 3,700 wounded in the UKR army. 572 Ukies taken prisoner and 50 Russians in UKR hands.
Definitely more than 50 Russians in Ukrainian hands, though they are mostly 18-19-20 year old conscripts. I trust no numbers I have seen.
Won’t be long till they link up with the garrison in Transnista , take Moldova . Ukraine landlocked, and Russia frontier looking more like a salient.
This is crazy even the BBC is posting on all the fake stories going on, see links below. The pictures and video are not adding up. So I see lots of people in Ukraine making Molotov Cocktails and fleeing on trains and some small skirmish and a few dead. I’m not seeing all the aircraft shot down, tanks with reactive armor or the hillbilly anti Javelin Missile armor above the tank turrets on Russian tanks and all the dead bodies that would line up with the body count from either side. Its not adding up, anyone else see this?

Much of the armor that was being reported as either blown up or abandoned was actually Ukrainian, not Russian, at least from analyzing the paint schemes and the metas on the footage. Many of the older vehicles also had charred remains of ACU-pattern uniforms, which is what’s being worn by the UKROP forces. The Russians on this operation are wearing a distinctive green digital pattern with matching Ratnik kit.
Further, there’s a mountain of footage surfacing of Azov killing civilians attempting to leave Kiev. That’s not getting posted here out of respect for the dead.
Re: Azov, people in the States really don’t get that they are literal Neo Nazis. That’s horrible that they’re killing people fleeing Kiev. The fake photos and videos obviously muddy the waters. There are no good guys in this fight. As long as we stay out conventionally, I’m fine with just observing it.
There’s little doubt that some of our SF are on the ground. If you could lend your perspective as to who you think they are, that would be appreciated.
