Monkey see, monkey do people rushed onto zoom just as fast as they rushed quackccines into their bloodstreams. It’s CCP spyware but hey, what’s the problem if you’re not doing anything wrong?

Zoom has had infamously bad security for years. They became popular for their speed and performance and that was all at the cost of security.

Use the web version of Zoom you have to use it or don’t use it at all.

There are a massive number of apps where you can use the web version and it’ll give 90% to 100% of the functionality of the app with the benefit of a browser sandbox to prevent a whole host of security flaws.
