About the Author: Patriotman
Patriotman currently ekes out a survivalist lifestyle in a suburban northeastern state as best as he can. He has varied experience in political science, public policy, biological sciences, and higher education. Proudly Catholic and an Eagle Scout, he has no military experience and thus offers a relatable perspective for the average suburban prepper who is preparing for troubled times on the horizon with less than ideal teams and in less than ideal locations.

This certainly seems more optimistic than readers of One Second After mentally calculate, but I guess we should still prepare for the worst case scenario. This commentary casually mentions a grid down blackout for maybe a month or month(s). What it ignores is the human behavior that will shortly come thereafter such an event, or the death that will occur naturally thru lack of heat in winter or AC in the hot summer, or even the death that will occur due to lack of medicine or lack of resources like food.
But hey, this does have cute music at the end!
