Big News Just Took Place on The World Stage, but it Hardly Registered in America, by Scipio

A year ago, in the midst of the COVID engineered panic, Biden went on a trip to Saudi Arabia ostensibly to ask (“beg”) for more oil production. Before Biden left on his multinational trip the Administration announced he would not be shaking hands with dignitaries because of COVID protocols.  However, after stopping in Israel on his way, Biden shook the hand of a Jew, the Israeli Prime Minister.  Biden continued on his trip to Saudi Arabia.  When he met sheik (MBS) Muhammed bin Salmon, a Muslim, he gave the prince a slight fist pump that brought an ever so slight smile to the sheik’s face.

Biden’s, and by extension, the USA’s duplicity was not lost on the Muslim world and the Middle East in general.  Middle East headlines screamed about the double standard but there was hardly a peep from Western media, liberal and conservative.

Returning home Biden said he had raised the issue of who was responsible for journalist (if that truly is what he was?) Khashoggi’s murder. Refuting Biden’s statement, the Saudis said Biden never brought the subject up.  Besides, they pointed to a public position statement they had made before Biden’s trip where they stated the Khashoggi topic would be off limits for discussion.

Since WW II, the US has been the major mediator of political disputes worldwide. The most famous was the 1978-79 Camp David Accords where Egypt’s Anwar Sadat and Israel’s Menenchem Bagin agreed to end their war. Also, numerous disputes were mediated by the US between Israel and the Palestinians. The US was active in keeping peace in the Mediterranean as well. In 1996 the US offered to mediate between warring factions among Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus.

On numerous occasions throughout the post-WW II era, the US appeared to operate as an “honest broker” in disputes.  The term “honest broker” refers to what 19th century German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck called himself, but in reality, his aim was his and Prussia’s self-interests.  The rest of the world called Bismarck “The Iron Chancellor”. Bismarck presided over the 1878 Treaty of Berlin which rewarded England, Austria, and Turkey (The Ottomans) but screwed Russia of its gains on the battlefield against the Turks.

Famously, Bismarck described diplomacy as a velvet glove covering an iron first.  The last thirty years has seen the US completely eschew the velvet glove concept of Bismarck styled diplomacy. Unfortunately, a heavy-handed approach has become the hallmark of American diplomacy. The US is far from being a legitimate “honest broker”, and the rest of the world senses the Empire’s powers have waned.

Sadly, the Empire of Lies have finally seen their lies catch up with them. Last week, America’s strongest ally in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, asked China to mediate between them and their hated political and religious enemy, Iran.  It was done efficiently and quickly as China marshalled events from start to finish.  Forget about the fine print, there was a reproachment between the two rivals at the hands of China. It was a huge and surprising diplomatic stoke. The diplomatic world was shaken by the quickness of the event and China’s sudden emergence as a diplomatic power.  This week, Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, called on China to help broker a cease fire with Russia.

How quickly America’s duplicity toward the world has been exposed. What little remains of its integrity and trust?  China’s step into the world’s center stage diplomatically signals the new multi-polar world is coming together quicker than expected and the US’s decline is happening faster than expected.

For months in late 2021, Russia was trying to avoid war by negotiating with America.  After fruitless negotiations, Russian Secretary of State, Sergei Lavrov, said of the talks, “Talking with the Americans is like talking to a wall.” The world has become like the triangle that asked the circle (USA), “What’s your point?”

The biggest shift in international diplomacy in seventy-five years just took place in the last week or so. There has been hardly a ripple in Western media or among political leaders about it.

Nope–as you say–the legacy MSM COMMANDS: “Nothing to see here Folks, move on…”

Ladies and Gents: we are ruled upon by petulant little boys–mental midgets–or, as some say, “little boys with beards.” Huge difference between mere ‘politicians’ and true diplomats. Like night and day.

The grace, virtue, honesty, and self-interest of diplomats is a rarity these days. Instead, we are feted with thugs, bandits, bullies.

In my near eight decades of life on God’s Green Earth, I have never witnessed such foolishness and child’s play that will have ENORMOUS consequences not only for America but the world. All evil and bad consequences.

Ever been to Niagara Falls? I have. First go up-stream to the Niagara River and see the peaceful rush of water quickly billow into rapids, then plunge over the precipice. As a nation, we are approaching that cliff….it’s all gravity and thermodynamics from there.

Nature, like diplomacy, has iron rules; disregard them at your peril.
