Inland northwest, my pole barn roof is dark green, covered by ash it’s gray. this has been going on for the last three years, no lightning, spontaneous fires both sides of the border, really bad this year I-90 closed just west of Spokane, medical lake fire, whole town burned to the ground. The forest service position for over twenty years has been no action to lessen the conditions, thinning removing dead fall etc. the forests are tender boxes, eco terrorists have an easy job. three years ago one was caught starting a fire alongside highway 167 south of Seattle, his route was traced using cell tower data, there were fires all along were the phone had been. this story was reported on for three days before it was memory holed.
