Patriotman currently ekes out a survivalist lifestyle in a suburban northeastern state as best as he can. He has varied experience in political science, public policy, biological sciences, and higher education. Proudly Catholic and an Eagle Scout, he has no military experience and thus offers a relatable perspective for the average suburban prepper who is preparing for troubled times on the horizon with less than ideal teams and in less than ideal locations.

While this is excellent content that ought to at least be documented by every serious prepper, the practicality of running trap lines (which can be up to 15 miles long or more) is obviously reserved for those that have such resources in the first place. If we are to survive in any significant numbers however, we must develop relationships with the food producers in our AO (if there are any). I believe too many people of the prepper mindset waste valuable time and resources in learning how to make a fire using a bow drill etc., when we could be uniting with our neighbors instead. Why volunteer to go back 150 years in History?
