I got a handpump added to my water well. Staying ahead of that curve ball!
I have to follow this stuff, because water and wastewater treatment is what I’ve done for 30+ years. There is a pattern developing from the ones that I have seen cyberattacked. There are things that are hackable, but its not as widespread as what its being made out to be. With my clients, without physically breaking into the facility(s) not a single one of my under population 50,000 clients is hackable. You literally have to physically plug into their controls. There many other things that concern me from a security standpoint than a cyber attack. I’m sure the bigger municipalities may be their collective pants because they are more automated, but the hysteria is bit over hyped, but then it only takes one. For the communities I’m working with, they very much need to be wargaming physical attacks and I’ve chewed out my fair share of them for not being proactive about it.
