Uhhh, solar eclipses do not cause solar flares…I’m just going to assume I read the post incorrectly.

  I think Scout was discussing the topic he went into; a lot of people are in freakout mode due to the media over an eclipse; little do they know solar flares happen often. Also, the flare is a threat to some extent to your electronics, so I think the OP is getting a bit confused, but the topic is still good. Then again, I give a lot of people the benefit of the doubt.
