Rumors are swirling in President Joe Biden’s team indicating that the president’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris came as revenge against high-profile Democrats, such as former President Barack Obama, who reportedly pressured Biden to step aside against his will.

Sources told the New York Post that Obama had told Biden to allow delegates at the Democratic Party’s upcoming convention in Chicago to choose a new candidate.

As we all know, Biden quickly endorsed Harris after announcing he would not continue his reelection campaign.

“It was Joe’s big f**k you,” the source told the outlet. “Joe said, ‘If I’m out, then I am endorsing her.’”

It is rumored that the president endorsed Harris as a form of dominance over his party.

While speaking to the New York Post, a source within the Democratic Party said they’ve heard about the president’s actions, saying that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) advocated for a “mini primary,” which Obama believed Harris could not win.

Sources said that Obama wanted Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) to be crowned the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.

Notably, Kelly was an astronaut before entering politics.

Biden officially ended his reelection bid to the White House last Sunday, having announced as such on X.

Just minutes later, the president endorsed Harris.

The Democratic Party source said Biden’s endorsement of his vice president was “Joe truly knifing Obama and Pelosi in the back for making him stand down.”

An insider familiar with the president said he plans on actively working to get Harris elected.

“It allows Biden to retain leverage as a much more experienced hand at national politics, which will be good for her,” the insider said. “It means her campaign won’t be run by a bunch of insular advisors.”

The source revealed that there has been tension between Obama and Biden since 2015 when the former president persuaded Biden not to seek the presidency in 2016.

Despite such rumors, Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama endorsed Harris via a phone call on Friday.

Biden’s decision to step aside came as he faced mounting calls to do so over his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump in June.

During the debate, the president appeared confused and he misspoke on multiple occasions.

A source close to the Biden family said high-ranked Democrats threatened to invoke the 25^th Amendment to remove Biden from office if he chose not to drop out. The source said that the family believed Obama wanted the president to leave the race and that an op-ed by actor George Clooney urging as such was all part of the plan.

Obama convinced Biden not to run for election in 2016, paving the way for Hillary Clinton to become the Democratic Party’s nominee.

“He was not encouraging,” Biden told the New York Times after the 2016 election, referring to Obama.

The source close to the Biden family says that despite his endorsement, Obama believes Harris doesn’t have what it takes to win.
