Black Lives Matters Accuses the Democratic Party of Being ‘Hypocrites’

The leftist organization Black Lives Matter (BLM) is making headlines again. On Tuesday, they accused the Democratic Party of being “hypocrites” for “instilling” Vice President Kamala Harris as the president’s replacement without a vote.

“We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs. Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites,” the group wrote in a statement.

The woke organization also demanded that the Democratic National Convention have a nationwide “informal, virtual snap primary” immediately.

“We call for the Rules Committee to create a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process, not just a nomination by party delegates,” BLM said.

“The current political landscape is unprecedented, with President Biden stepping aside in a manner never seen before. This moment calls for decisive action to protect the integrity of our democracy and the voices of Black voters.”

The statement also accused the party of trying to “manipulate” black voters by choosing Harris as its presidential nominee to win the election.

“This blatant disregard for democratic principles is unacceptable. While the potential outcome of a Harris presidency may be historic, the process to achieve it must align with true democratic values,” the statement continued.

“We have no idea where Kamala Harris stands on the issues, now that she has assumed Joe Biden’s place, and we have no idea of the record of her potential vice president because we don’t even know who it is yet.”

Shalomyah Bowers, a BLM leader, ensured that this was not an attack on Harris or her qualifications but “about the nominating process.” He said that it is not up to the elites nor delegates, but up to the American people.

Bowers also said that Democratic leaders should be visiting communities and asking who they would like to see on the party ticket.

Anything less is unserious in the quest for democracy,” he said.

BLM has become notorious for the havoc it caused in 2020 after the group started promoting riots around the country protesting the death of George Floyd, who was killed by an officer in Minnesota.

Harris has a history with the organization, bailing out protestors who were arrested during the riots. She also encouraged their destruction, along with other Democratic politicians.

Since beginning her campaign, videos of her pro-BLM and pro-violence rhetoric have resurfaced and been shared across social media.

The Harris campaign could not be reached for comment.
