Leftists Freak Over Warren Buffett’s Trust Going to Son ‘Building a Literal Private Anti-Immigrant Militia’

In the coming years Warren Buffett’s “yet-to-be-named” charitable trust will become the largest such entity in the world, according to Axios.

“Whether and how it will have any philanthropic impact seems to be a secondary consideration,” the outlet’s Felix Salmon penned.

Leftists on X, however, have sparked concerns over who will control the $100 billion trust when Buffett inevitably dies; specifically because it will be going to the billionaire’s children.

Users took issue with Buffett’s son Howie taking control, pointing particularly to the 69-year-old’s home page that features “a lot of armed soldiers,” Salmon highlighted.

“He has also spent a lot of time and money arming — and patrolling with — the border police in Cochise County, Arizona,” Salmon added, linking to an article by Phoenix New Times.

One X user wrote, “Welp,” accompanied by screenshots of the Axios and Times articles.

Another emphasized, in a post that has amassed over one million views, “Warren Buffett is handing control over $100 billion to his three kids, one of whom is building a literal private anti-immigrant militia.”

The Times article from 2019 noted that Howie has used wealth supplied by his father to wage a “border war” in Cochise County.

Buffett’s son has armed a private volunteer group, imported privately employed enforcement personnel and funded the chemical defoliation of a substantial portion of the county’s border with Mexico, per the outlet.

He has also secured loyalty and influence over the county’s Sheriff’s Office by helping it purchase guns, vehicles, surveillance equipment, helicopters and other equipment.

Howie is reportedly doing this because of his concern for the “rule of law.”

In one photo from 2016 Howie is depicted wearing a camouflage windbreaker and baseball cap with his left hand on his hip, the Times described.

Another shows the billionaire’s son alongside friends on night watch near the Mexican border where a watchman in front has one “eye squinted behind the sight of what appears to be an AR-15 semiautomatic assault rifle.”

The gun is pointed out into the darkness of night.

One X user posted, “you’re blackpilling?” following the outrage on the platform over Howie taking over the $100 billion trust.

Earlier this year Warren Buffett made headlines after he warned the U.S. government will increase taxes rather than reduce spending amidst the country’s mounting national debt.

“I think higher taxes are likely,” he said.

“They may decide that some day they don’t want the fiscal deficit to be this large because that has some important consequences.”

“So they may not want to decrease spending and they may decide they’ll take a larger percentage of what we own, and we’ll pay it.”

Resist the Mainstream reported that the Berkshire Hathaway boss highlighted the absence of a visible plan from the Fed and other financial authorities during his declaration in May.

He also noted that these factors had prompted Buffett’s Berkshire to reduce its stake in Apple, among several other blue-chip manufacturers, home builders, insurance companies and retailers within its portfolio.

Buffett praised the iPhone as one of the greatest products of all time, however.

He also hinted at tax implications influencing the sale.
