Veteran Sniper Reveals Possible Twist for Would-Be Trump Assassin’s Narrative Following Shock Remarks
A veteran sniper has cast doubt on the official narrative surrounding the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
Dallas Alexander, a former Canadian military sniper with 14 years of experience, has suggested that the 20-year-old gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, may have received assistance from within an agency, organization, or even the government.
“I’m very familiar with the layout of these types of things and what the job should be, and yesterday what happened,” he said in the now viral video.
“I have no doubts in my mind that the shooter had help from somewhere within an agency, an organization or the government.”
The incident, which occurred on Saturday night during a Trump rally, has left the nation reeling.
Crooks, armed with an AR-style rifle, managed to position himself on a rooftop just 130 yards from where Trump was speaking.
The placement of Crooks and him being able to fire off shots towards the former president have sparked mass speculation about the near-assasation and the Secret Service’s preparation.
The bullet narrowly missed the former president, grazing his right ear.
Alexander, whose team holds the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill, per Daily Mail, expressed disbelief at the circumstances surrounding the attack.
“You cannot, in broad daylight, get onto a rooftop within, what looked like a couple hundred yards of that [of the president],” he said in his video posted to social media.
“You can’t get in that position with a gun when there’s a president speaking. It cannot be done.”
“Like, you don’t even have to be a sniper – it’s the most f****** obvious thing, most obvious place in the whole world.”
He then joked: “You could be like a seventh-grader – like ‘What do we have to do for security?’ Well, let’s look at these rooftops that are almost within zeroing range of a rifle.”
“So something happened, and I’m not pointing fingers at anyone,” he continued. “It’s just too obvious that this guy had help getting there.”
“So whether it’s someone turned a blind eye or it was strategically planned, it had to be planned to a certain level, because events like that, security like that, it’s not a small thing – and that is an obvious place to be.”
The veteran sniper’s comments have fueled speculation and raised serious questions about security protocols.
Alexander emphasized the implausibility of an amateur shooter breaching multiple layers of security to reach such a strategic position.
He suggested that either someone turned a blind eye or the attack was strategically planned to some degree.
While authorities maintain that Crooks acted alone, both Republicans and Democrats are calling for an urgent investigation into the Secret Service’s response.
Daily Mail noted that witnesses claim they alerted law enforcement about an armed individual climbing onto a building, but the suspect was allegedly lost from sight before the shooting began.
The outlet further noted that the Secret Service has denied claims that Trump’s team requested additional protection, but the agency remains under intense scrutiny.
FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek described it as “surprising” that Crooks managed to fire multiple shots before being neutralized by agents.
Daily Mail reported that Biden has promised an independent review of the incident, pledging to share the results with the American public.
Former Secret Service agent Joseph LaSorsa told the news site that protection for former presidents, especially Trump, will likely be increased to levels similar to those of the sitting president.
As the nation grapples with the implications of this near-tragedy, House Republicans plan to question Secret Service head Kimberly Cheatle on July 22.
They intend to seek answers to the many questions surrounding this unprecedented security breach.
