Report: Whistleblower Accuses ABC Of Election Interference, Alleges Harris “Dictated The Terms” Of Debate

Newly released documents revealed that a whistleblower had come forward alleging that ABC News took multiple steps to give Kamala Harris the advantage in her debate with former President Donald Trump, including allowing her campaign to demand that certain topics be left off the table, and only fact-checking Trump.

An affidavit, allegedly from the whistleblower, whose name was redacted from the documents published online by independent journalist Kyle Becker, went viral on Sunday. In it, the individual alleged that they had worked for ABC News “for over 10 years in various technical and administrative positions.”

“Since the acquisition of ABC news in 1996, I have observed significant transformations in the nature of news reporting at the organization. These changes suggest a shift from unbiased reporting to a model influenced by external factors,” the document read.

The whistleblower noted that they “do not endorse Donald Trump in his capacity as candidate for President of the United States,” but added that the affidavit is intended “to address concerns regarding perceived biases within news reporting within my employer’s debate that will be hosted on September 10, 2024.”

The document alleged that the Harris campaign was allowed to impose certain “restrictions on the scope of questioning,” stating that the campaign demanded that there would be “no questions regarding the perceived health of President Joe Biden, no inquiries related to her tenure as Attorney General in San Francisco.”

The campaign also allegedly demanded that there be “no questions concerning her brother-in-law, Tony West, who faces allegations of embezzling billions of dollars in taxpayer funds and who may be involved in her administration if elected.”

The affidavit was signed and notarized on Sept. 9th, 2024, per the 5th page of the document, and the allegations were noted prior to the Sept. 10th debate. Additionally, a certified letter was allegedly sent to House Speaker Mike Johnson, who has not commented on the claims.

The individual claims near the end of the document that they have “secretly recorded several conversations that will prove that the Harris Campaign insisted not only the Fact Checking of Donald Trump, but also insisted on what questions were not to be asked under any circumstances or else the Harris campaign would decline to participate in the debate.”

“ABC News committed election interference. This is a MASSIVE scandal,” Becker commented alongside the document.

A final page is attached with an alleged verification of affidavit from the state of New York, which is partially redacted to protect the identities of the individuals involved.

The report comes just days after one of the debate moderators, Lindsey Davis, admitted that ABC conducted “extensive preparation to counter potential misinformation during the debate,” per a previous report from RTM.

“People were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang and not [be] disputed by the candidate Biden, at the time, or the moderators,” Davis told the LA Times, suggesting that the outlet intended to take a more aggressive approach and rebut and increased number of claims in the debate.
