After a recent Donald Trump rally in Tucson, several supporters have come forward with reports of unexplained eye injuries.

The incident, which occurred after Trump’s speech addressing the cost of living crisis and unveiling a new policy on overtime tax, has left attendees and campaign officials puzzled.

Daily Mail reported that at least six individuals who were seated on stage behind the former president during his address have reported experiencing eye irritation and vision problems shortly after the event.

Commenters on X have reported that roughly “20 individuals” became “ill with mysterious symptoms” post-rally.

Some of these supporters required medical attention, with symptoms ranging from burning sensations to temporary blindness.

Mayra Rodriguez, a former Clinton supporter turned Trump fan and pro-life advocate, shared her harrowing experience.

“My eyes were burning,” she recounted, as outlined by Daily Mail.

Rodriguez then explained that she sought emergency medical care shortly after returning home from the rally.

Rodriguez reported that medical staff questioned whether she had been exposed to an irritant, as her symptoms were consistent with such exposure.

For days following the event, Rodriguez struggled with severe vision impairment.

“I can’t see anything when I try to open my eyes. I see a bright light. It hurts, it hurts a lot to open my eyes,” she described.

Fortunately, by Tuesday, her vision had begun to improve, suggesting the condition may not be permanent.

Another attendee, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke about their escalating symptoms.

“It kept getting worse and worse, my eyes were watering a lot, my nose started running then I started feeling my face get really flushed and my neck felt like it was on fire,” they said.

The individual’s brother experienced similar issues, describing his eyes as “red like hell” and the pain being “unbearable.”

The incident has had real-world consequences for some, with a local realtor forced to cancel all scheduled business for the weekend due to sudden onset blindness.

Daily Mail noted that in response to these reports, a Trump campaign spokesperson stated, “The Trump campaign has been collecting information. We remain committed to the countless patriots that attend our high-energy, high-impact rallies across the country.”

Meanwhile, a Secret Service spokesperson confirmed there was no known threat to President Trump during the event.

The rally, held in Arizona, a state crucial to Trump’s electoral strategy, focused heavily on his recent debate with Kamala Harris.

Trump criticized the debate moderators and declared his performance a “monumental victory.”

Arizona’s significance in the upcoming election cannot be overstated.

In 2020, Joe Biden won the state by fewer than 11,000 votes, a margin that led to legal challenges and fraud allegations from Trump allies.

The latest data from the J.L. Partners/Daily Mail election model suggests Arizona currently “leans Trump.”
