Agreed. The inner circle that survived were all very clear and in agreement about the final days in the bunker. The suicides took place with many of these people in the next room. The SS men who burned the bodies testified to that and the Russians even recovered Hitler’s jaw bone. Stalin kept a lid on this information for his own reasons and initiated the story that Hitler had fled to Argentina.
Hitler had many chances to be anywhere else but in Berlin before the Russians closed on the city. Dozens of credible witnesses from that inner circle all place him there. American troops were not involved and were in no position to assist getting anyone out of the city and were no disposed to do any such thing even if they were there,

There was a show called Hunting Hitler that ran for 2 seasons and ended abruptly in Argentina after they found bunkers around a lake and a mansion. It was pretty interesting and seemed strange to get that close and just stop.
