Easter Thoughts, by Patriotman

I sit here right now, listening to a recording of my church doing the Stations of the Cross on Friday evening.

I wasn’t there, because we had a concurrent production of the Live Stations and I was doing the lights and music for that live stations of the cross a half hour after this production. The youth group did an incredible job. The kid who played Jesus absolutely slayed it, and the music was spot on.

The gentlemen who did the light and sounds were all under 30 yo.

The boys involved? Sacrificed every Friday for a fish fry, raising money for all the charities we contribute to. Their one night off? Doing stations…

That is the point of my post.

We have a cadre of young gentlemen who are waiting in the wings… waiting to be activated and to be tasked. They see the trend of our culture and they want to be ahead of it. I am lucky in the sense that my Knights of Columbus council  captures these men. My church is blessed, and it helps to have a Monsignor who is a funny as fuck human and is the greatest and most holy man I will ever meet.

We need to get the youth in. We need to capture those gentlemen.

It is gonna be tough.

But figure it THE FUCK OUT

Take this Easter morning to figure out how we can get more brothers to  our fold.

AMEN, and GOD BLESS.

May you all experience blessings beyond you imagination.

As an Orthodox Christian I see the same thing in Orthodoxy. Young men and women devoting themselves to Christ and His Church. It is truly inspiring.
