Retired US Intel Officer Reveals Alleged Brain Weapon Attack, Claims Feds ‘Did Everything They Could’ to Bury It

A former U.S. counterintelligence officer is speaking out about a mysterious and life-altering illness he claims was caused by a classified directed energy weapon, accusing the federal government of refusing to acknowledge its role or help those affected.

Michael Beck, now retired, believes he was targeted during a 1996 overseas assignment where he encountered experimental foreign equipment believed to be under development for use against U.S. personnel.

“We traveled to a hostile country and we found some pieces of gear that we’d only heard about,” he recalled, according to Trending Politics.

After returning from that mission, Beck’s health began to deteriorate. He now displays symptoms consistent with Parkinson’s disease, including chronic tremors, memory issues and difficulty speaking.

Once a sharp intelligence operative, he now resides in an assisted living facility and struggles to complete sentences without pausing.

“It has been a slow deterioration over time,” his wife said. “He’s gradually losing his train of thought. He forgets what the next word is so he’ll get stuck and he’ll stop because his brain isn’t processing fast enough.”

Beck told investigative journalist Catherine Herridge that U.S. agencies involved “did everything they could” to avoid acknowledging the harm caused by directed energy weapons (DEWs).

When asked directly if he believes the federal government is covering up their use against American service members, Beck responded, “Yes.”

Dr. James Giordano, who specializes in emerging weapons and neurology, has worked with the government to investigate incidents involving DEWs.

He described the weapons as tools designed to disrupt human function without killing, potentially disabling targets for life.

According to Giordano, “essentially three” types of directed energy incidents have occurred involving American personnel.

He categorized them as two types of sonic weapons and a third involving microwaves, which he called a significant revelation.

“They both use sound and the expansion and contraction of a sound wave… but they do so differently,” he said.

Giordano was also involved in examining cases at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, where in 2016 nearly two dozen personnel reported unexplained neurological symptoms — a condition later referred to as “Havana Syndrome.”

More than 2,000 similar attacks have since been reported across at least a dozen countries, affecting U.S. officials, intelligence officers and contractors, according to Herridge’s report.

Despite this growing number of cases, Beck says no formal recognition or resolution has been offered.

A 2014 national security memo had warned of the potentially deadly capabilities of high-powered microwave weapons, but Beck and his wife claim the burden of proof has been set impossibly high.

“The government basically wanted the hostile country to say ‘yes, we hit Mike Beck on this date, in this time, in this place,’” his wife said. “I think they just want to protect their reputation.”

Despite his worsening condition, Beck continues to seek accountability and medical support. While some victims have gained attention, many more remain unnamed and without assistance, TP reports.

Beck’s family has shouldered the emotional and financial weight of his care as they search for answers in a system that, so far, has offered few.

As the list of reported DEW cases continues to grow and experts raise national security concerns, families like the Becks are still waiting—not only for treatment, but for the government to publicly acknowledge what happened to them.
